Ultrasonic flow meter works on transit time ultrasonic principle. Equipped with flow sensor ultrasonic, also known as ultrasonic flow rate sensor, this non contact flow sensor mounts externally on pipe wall. It transmits and receives ultrasonic flow signals. When liquid flows inside the pipe, the downstream ultrasonic signal travels faster while the upstream one slows down. The meter calculates the time difference to compute ultrasonic flow and volumetric flow rate.
